Background
information
The overall aim of RESPECT is the promotion of health, work ability
and well-being of aging employees by means of a series of cost-effective
methods and work policies.
Based upon the state of the art analysis of the existing working conditions
and work models, the key problems of elderly workers and current trends
were recognized.
To reach the objectives mentioned above responsible project partners
developed new work models as well as criteria and tools for their assessment.
These theoretical plans were tested practically in laboratory and field
studies in order to derive best practice guidelines, training schemes
and recommendations for intervention. On the other hand the cost-effectiveness
of our new strategies were checked by cost-benefitanalysis.

Therefore all the preliminary project findings will be presented to
the participants of the workshop. The last step of the RESPECT project
will be to disseminate the results widely and to make use of the outcomes
in the future.
